Policies and

Reports

Trinity College is a registered charity that publishes a range of policies and reports on its financial, safeguarding and other governance activities in accordance with current legislation and Charities Commission regulations.

Trinity College’s mission is to promote scholarship through teaching and research.

We offer places to undergraduates in line with the University of Oxford’s agreed code of practice and to graduates admitted to the University of Oxford.

The College undertakes to remove any barriers, real or perceived, which might deter people of the highest ability from applying to the College, either as staff or students. The College aims to assist its students and staff in reaching their full potential, to foster an inclusive culture which values diversity, and to maintain a working, social and learning environment in which the rights and dignity of all its staff, students and alumni are respected.

The Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education (OIA) runs an independent scheme to review student  complaints. Trinity College is a member of this scheme. If you are unhappy with the outcome of a complaint / appeal / disciplinary case , you may be able to ask the OIA to review it. You can find more information about making a complaint to the OIA, what it can and can’t look at and what it can do to put things right if something has gone wrong here: https://www.oiahe.org.uk/students

You normally need to have completed the relevant internal college procedures before you complain to the OIA. The College's complaints procedures are set out in the Student Handbook. Trinity College will send you a letter called a “Completion of Procedures Letter” when you have reached the end of our processes and there are no further steps you can take internally. If your complaint/appeal etc is not upheld, we will issue with a Completion of Procedures Letter automatically.  If your complaint/appeal etc is upheld or partly upheld you can ask for a Completion of Procedures Letter if you want one. You can find more information about Completion of Procedures Letters and when you should expect to receive on here: https://www.oiahe.org.uk/providers/completion-of-procedures-letters
