Welcome to New Fellows Joining in Hilary Term

10 January 2024

Trinity is pleased to welcome a new Fellows Dong (Lilly) Liu and Meera Mehta to college starting in Hilary Term 2024.

Dong Liu joins the college as Tutorial Fellow in Engineering; her expertise lies in the area of real-time, high temperature multiple-scale microstructural and mechanical characterization of advanced materials, and her research focuses on the deformation and fracture of advanced structural materials used in nuclear fission/fusion, aerospace and hydrogen storage applications. Prior to joining Trinity she was Associate Professor in the University of Bristol where she was lead of the  Materials and Devices Theme in the School of Physics.

Meera Mehta joins Trinity as Tutorial Fellow in Inorganic Chemistry; her research is interested in understanding the fundamental chemistry of earth abundant and inexpensive elements to provide synthetic science with more sustainable catalysts and materials. My research group studies both discrete molecular compounds and complex clusters. Her research group is largely focused on applying these sustainable catalysts for the synthesis of important feedstock chemicals used by the manufacturing sector, and for the removal and recycling of environmental toxins (for example greenhouse gases). Prior to joining Trinity she was a Lecturer at the University of Manchester.
