Lecturer in Law

Zaid Deva

  • My research focuses on the law and politics of constitution-making in postcolonial contexts.
  • Unlike typical lectures, tutorials allow for a more Socratic form of dialogue in a small-group setting, which I strongly value.
  • Constitution-making often involves a rupture with the past and offers a rare opportunity to reimagine political community, reflecting the near-limitless possibilities of human imagination.
