Academic Support and Development Lecturer

Jennie-James Strawbridge

  • I work on supporting all aspects of University learning.
  • I love working with diverse students on diverse topics.
  • I’m particularly interested in neurodivergence and its impacts on academic life.

Profile

Jennie is a specialist study skills tutor who supports all students at Trinity with their academic work. She studied at Lady Margaret Hall for her degrees, before training and working at the Oxford Study Skills Centre for three years; she is also a trained LGBT+ Role Model. Her areas of expertise include time management, note-making, essay-writing, revision, and exam preparation, but she is happy to work with students on any aspect of academic life.

Teaching

At Trinity, she provides targeted workshops, drop-in hours, and 1:1 sessions of various lengths to support academic work across subjects. Jennie can be found on the top floor of the Wellbeing Hub on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, and also hosts online sessions on Saturday afternoons. Have a look at the booking link on this page or email her if you're interested in a session.

Research

I’m always looking out for new ways to help students with their learning, and I endeavour to create new resources and new ways of thinking about work.
