Retained Lecturer in Law

Jarret Huang

  • Research interests include commercial disputes, arbitration, contract, tort, unjust enrichment, property, insolvency, trusts and equity.
  • I enjoy making complex ideas simple and digestible
  • I teach Civil (Roman) Law, and am consistently amazed at how a legal system of such vintage still informs so much of today’s legal order.

Profile

I read Law at Cambridge and completed an LLM at Harvard. After graduating, I worked in the Singapore Legal Service, both as a Justices’ Law Clerk in the Supreme Court, and as State Counsel in the Attorney-General’s Chambers. Presently, I lecture for a number of Oxford Colleges, and will be commencing pupillage at One Essex Court in October 2023.

Teaching

I teach Civil (Roman) Law for Law Moderations.
