  • My responsibilities include working with school students, their parents and teachers through Trinity's outreach programme by delivering workshops and talks to students in schools, running school visits into College, and supporting several residential opportunities.
  • I also assist with the development, delivery and evaluation of Trinity's wide range of access and widening participation activities.
  • I have enjoyed a diverse professional background in education; most recently I worked as a secondary school history teacher.

Profile

As Access Officer I support the Access Team's work in its link area of Oxfordshire and Milton Keynes, delivering activities to school students, their teachers and carers both in schools and through visits to College. My responsibilities also extend to assisting with the development, delivery and evaluation of Trinity's wide range of activities in the field of access, widening participation and raising aspiration.

I have spent the last decade working in a variety of education settings, which range from primary, secondary and further education. As an educator I am committed to raising the aspirational perceptions of students and am particularly passionate about increasing access and representation in education.

Prior to Joining Trinity College, I worked as a secondary school history teacher, in West Berkshire, where I enjoyed developing and challenging students’ historical intellectual curiosity and excellence.

In addition to my new role, for the past three years I have been researching topics pertaining to equity, social justice and racial literacy in education. This is an area of research I hope to pursue further.
