Profile

As Head of Access, I lead the development and delivery of the College’s access programme. Alongside the pupil outreach programme, I am passionate about increasing teacher and parent/carer engagement in our outreach work. Ensuring these vital groups receive the support from Oxford they need is essential in enabling them to help their young people realise their future ambitions.

Prior to joining Trinity College, I led the Recruitment and Schools Programme at St Hilda’s College, University of Oxford where again, teacher engagement was a core focus. Before this, I was Deputy Head of Sixth Form and a classroom teacher, working in a variety of challenging non-selective state secondary schools in Oxfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.

My other previous educational roles include the delivery of support programmes designed to raise pupil attainment and progression and whilst my own children were young, I was also a school governor. I have an active interest in supporting looked-after children to reach their potential. As such, I am a foster carer and was previously the Vice Chair of a Fostering Approval panel.

I have also worked as a Home School Link Officer in the Partnership of West Oxfordshire primary and secondary schools, providing socio-educational support to disadvantaged pupils and their families.
