Helen Oyeyemi: Richard Hillary Memorial Lecture

Each year the Richard Hillary Memorial Lecture is given by notable creative writers and remembers Richard Hillary, the author of The Last Enemy, who was a student at Trinity. Helen Oyeyemi is an award-winning novelist and a former judge of the International Booker Prize for Literature. Described by The Guardian as “a rare talent”, Helen is best known for Mr Fox, What Is Not Yours Is Not Yours and Gingerbread. Her lecture will be on the theme of Names, or: Addressing The Unfamiliar with Outrageous Overfamiliarity.
