Welcome to New College Academic Support and Development Lecturer

10 October 2022

Trinity welcomes Dr Jennie Strawbridge as Trinity’s Academic Support and Development Lecturer, a new role created in college this year.

Dr Strawbridge’s role has been created in recognition of the need to help ease the academic  transition between school and university, particularly after the disruption of the coronavirus pandemic. She will be available to help all Trinity undergraduates with academic skills including time management, note-making, referencing, essay-writing, revision, exam techniques and more.

Trinity Senior Tutor Dr Rebecca Bullard says: ‘We are so pleased to have appointed Jennie Strawbridge to this new post at Trinity. We know that our students will benefit from the additional support that she will be able to offer, both through engaging workshops and bespoke tuition. She will play a vital role in ensuring that all of our students flourish on course and reach their academic potential.’

Dr Strawbridge joins Trinity from the Oxford Study Skills Centre, where she has been training and working at the Oxford Study Skills Centre for the past three years. She will be running a series of events for first-year students on core academic skills over the course of this term. They focus on time management, making notes, avoiding plagiarism, writing essays, and consolidation (revision).
