Congratulations to 2021 Finalists

5 August 2021

In another academic year marked by pandemic-related disruption, Trinity's 75 finalists completed their undergraduate examinations with an excellent set of results.

The college extends warmest congratulations to all finalists, as well as special thanks to all their tutors and the College support staff who worked with them through their time at Trinity. Despite the exceptionally difficult last 15 months, they have managed to bring their studies to very successful conclusions: over 97% of those graduating have achieved a First or II.1.

Trinity Senior Tutor, Professor Valerie Worth, says: 'We are especially thrilled to note that all the fourth-year Materials Science students graduated with Firsts, and all the Mathematics students taking the BA (Hons) exams in 2021 were classified as First Class – what an achievement by both cohorts and their tutors. Well done to everyone, and we send you our sincere best wishes for the next stage of your studies or professional life!'

Other subjects at Trinity which saw at least half of the cohort gaining Firsts this year were: Biochemistry, Engineering, PPE, Classics and Music. Some individual students achieved particularly high rankings in their FHS, notably the first place across all Colleges in History and Politics, and the best First across the University in Classics II (the course taken by students who have not studied Latin or Greek before joining Oxford).
