Information for current applicants

We warmly welcome applications to study as an undergraduate at Oxford. You can find out a lot more about the process on the University’s ‘Applying to Oxford’ page.

Please note that we are no longer accepting applications for 2020 entry. You can start applying for 2021 entry via UCAS from early September 2020. The application deadline for courses starting in 2021 will be 6pm (UK time) on 15th October 2020.

Important Dates and Deadlines 2020-21:
Before 15th October: Prepare your UCAS form and check whether your course requires an admissions test, which will require a separate registration. Please note that Law candidates have earlier deadlines for registering to sit the LNAT.

6pm (UK time), 15th October 2020: Application deadline for courses starting in 2021 (or for deferred entry in 2022) via UCAS. This is also the deadline for (separately) registering for all admissions tests besides the LNAT.

4th November 2020: Admissions tests (BMAT, CAT, ELAT, MAT, MLAT, Philosophy Test). For Law applicants sitting the LNAT, deadlines for registering for and sitting the LNAT can be found on the LNAT website.

5th November 2020: Admissions tests (HAT, PAT, TSA).

10th November 2020: Deadline for receipt of written work.

1st – 20th December 2020: Interviews held online*. Please refer to the University website for the full timetable.

*Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all interviews for courses starting in 2021 will be held online in December 2020. Further guidance on technology will be provided by the University in due course.

January 2021: Shortlisted candidates will be notified about the outcome of their application.
