How have the generations of women in your family changed, from one generation to the next?
My granny, Sarah, was married by my age at 21 – and her mum (my great granny) was married by 1928 when she was 26. Lettice, my great granny, never had a job and had her first child aged a year after she was married. Neither of them were educated beyond the age of 18.
In the photos are my great grandmother Lettice McCreery with my grandmother Sarah McCreery (now Sarah Groombridge), and my grandmother with me.
