Trinity College MCR has held an event supporting breast cancer awareness among Oxford students.
The emphasis of the event was on reminding young women to go for annual examinations and explaining that in many cases breast cancer is curable if detected on time. Even though the incidence in men is comparatively low, the organisers encouraged men to attend as well.
Clinical embryology students gave information about precautions, diagnosis and treatment about this disease. Information about the health system regulations for the UK and international students was also discussed and doctors gave demonstrations on how to do self-examination, followed by a questions and answers session.
