Margaret Howard Essay Prize

Three students have been awarded prizes in this year’s Margaret Howard Essay Prize.

The winner was Glendon Goh, who wrote on ‘Protection of society, rehabilitation or retribution, what is prison for?’, with two joint runners-up, Joshua Caminiti, ‘Are there any limits to freedom of expression? If so, how should they be defined?’ and¬†Harry Macpherson,¬†‘Does the doctrine of Responsibility to Protect (R2P) always trump national borders?’.
