The winner of this year’s Richard Hillary Writing Competition has been announced by the President.
This year’s prize has been awarded to Ellen Fitzgerald for ‘To meet with principles’. Annet Westhoek received an Honourable Mention.
This annual creative writing competition was established in memory of Richard Hillary, member of Trinity College, a Battle of Britain pilot and author of The Last Enemy, which was a bestseller after the Second World War. The Richard Hillary Prize, worth £500 and open to all undergraduate and graduate students at Trinity, is awarded for pieces (verse or prose) not exceeding 3,000 words.
