Researching the history of midwifery

Trinity’s Senior Tutor, Professor Valerie Worth, is running a ‘Knowledge Exchange Project’ related to  her research on the history of midwifery, jointly with the Library of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and the De Partu research group on the history of childbirth. With her collaborators, she has run a study day at the RCOG, to mark the launch of a poster display in the RCOG’s education centre and exhibition of midwifery books in the RCOG and RCM Library. The day included welcoming speeches by the CEO of the RCOG, Ian Wylie, and the Director of Midwifery at the Royal College of Midwives, Louise Silverton.
