Honorary Fellow

Charles Gray

  • I studied at Trinity from 1961-64 reading PPE having previously been a pupil at Winchester College.
  • Whilst at Trinity I and a dozen fellow undergraduates formed a dining club, the Dodecadents.  I’ve remained close to the college partly because it is still the venue for our annual Dodecadent reunion dinners.

For thirty years I was a barrister (QC 1984) working in defamation and libel.  In 1998 I became a High Court judge travelling to various courts in England and acting as judge alone in the David Irving case (re holocaust denial). Now retired, I spend my days at home with my wife in the South Downs with occasional forays to our London flat.
