Trinity is delighted to welcome new Head Gardener Kate Burtonwood, who joined the college on 4 January. She will work alongside Bob Dunn and Aaron Drewett and manage the college gardens and grounds.
Kate started her gardening career at Inner Temple, London before moving on to various roles at the Oxford Botanic Garden, Thenford Arboretum and the Cotswold Wildlife Park. More recently she has spent time as Head Gardener at a 10 acre private estate.
On joining Trinity Kate says: 'Trinity is such a special and beautiful space and I look forward, along with Aaron and Bob in the gardens team, to sharing in the joy everyone gets from the college grounds. Horticulture is an ever-changing field and I spend much of my professional development time looking for new ideas and more sustainable methods of gardening, which I hope to bring to college.'
Trinity alumnus Christian Thompson has been announced as the winner of the 2020 Bowness Photography Prize.
