Search for the Next Senior Tutor Begins at Trinity

12 April 2021

Trinity’s current Senior Tutor Professor Valerie Worth will be stepping back from the role at the end of 2021 after more than 12 years in post.

She will reduce her commitment to 25%, covering for two years from January 2022 the role of Fellow and Tutor for Graduates, and so the college is now recruiting its next Senior Tutor.

Valerie says: ‘After twelve years of holding the wonderful post as Trinity’s Senior Tutor, I’ve reached a stage in life where I’d like to spend a little more time with family, and with books, research and the garden (maybe even travel if post-covid ever allows!).

'Giving up working full time with my wonderful staff team in the academic office, my academic colleagues (Fellows, Lecturers, JRFs), fellow College officers, and all the fantastic staff across the departments in Trinity  was one of the hard parts of making this decision. I have felt very privileged to work with everyone  and with all our students through my years here, and I so hope my successor will also find the post richly rewarding.'
