Five Questions About Philosophy for Anil Gomes

23 June 2021

Trinity Fellow and Tutor in Philosophy Anil Gomes has been featured in a popular podcast about philosophy.

The Five Questions podcast, hosted by Kieran Setiya, asks contemporary philosophers five questions about themselves. Beginning with temperament and ending with fear, it explores the relationship between philosophers’ lives and work. The episode with Professor Gomes can be listened to on the Five Questions site or on podcast apps.

Professor Gomes says of taking part in the podcast: ‘I’ve really enjoyed Kieran’s podcast and was honoured to be asked to take part. His probing questions reveal a huge amount about philosophers and philosophy—perhaps more than his guests intend to reveal!’

Anil Gomes Associate Professor of Philosophy at the University of Oxford and the author of ‘Iris Murdoch on Art, Ethics, and Attention’ (2013), ‘Is There a Problem of Other Minds?’ (2011), ‘Kant on Perception’ (2014), and other essays.
