Stephen Fisher, Fellow and Tutor in Political Sociology, has analysed the results of the local elections for an article in The Times, and has also been quoted in another article about the forthcoming general election.
Dr Fisher is quoted in the first article, which is followed by his own analysis of the results and what they indicate about the forthcoming general election.
‘The main story of last week’s local elections is clear. The Tories won lots more seats, and so they are likely to win the general election next month.’
Dr Fisher is quoted again in a more recent article about moves to encourage young people to register to vote in the general election, expressing concern at the number of 18 year olds who might not be registered.
