Celebrating the memory of Trevor Williams

On the day of the funeral of Reverend Canon Trevor Williams, former College Chaplain and Tutorial Fellow (1970-2005), Trinity College remembers his life and contributions.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will take place in college in the spring.

Reverend Williams will be remembered for his many contributions to college life and beyond, including his longstanding work supporting charitable work in Uganda, where he was born to missionary parents and studied following his undergraduate degree in Oxford.

His daughter Catherine is currently fundraising in his memory to support the charitable organisation AICM (African International Christian Ministry), which was founded to meet the spiritual and material needs of people in Uganda, particularly in the area around Kabale. Trevor offered unwavering support to AICM over many years, including as chairman of Friends of AICM for almost 20 years. He led two expeditions of Trinity College students to help fund and build a rural medical centre and a children’s home.

Donations to Friends of AICM will be passed directly to the charity, and contributions can be made via Catherine’s fundraising page.
