Gemma Francis, a first year undergraduate studying for an MEng in Materials Science, has been awarded a BP scholarship.
BP received 110 applications from Oxford students, of which eight were selected for scholarships. The award combines a financial award with opportunities to engage with BP through interactive events, job shadowing and early access to the application process for BP’s Internship and Graduate Programmes.
The programme, launched in 2012, focuses on supporting the education and development of the next generation of engineers and scientists by building the skills and knowledge needed to work in the energy industry. Students in receipt of a BP Scholarship receive £5,000 per annum for the normal duration of their course.
