Dame Hilary Boulding has been formally admitted as President of Trinity and presented to the Visitor in a ceremony held in the chapel.
The ceremony was led by the Visitor, the Rt Revd Tim Dakin, Bishop of Winchester, and the President was formally greeted by the Fellows, JCR & MCR presidents and two representatives of the staff. A reading from the Rule of St Benedict about the election of an abbot (reflecting Trinity’s links to the former Benedictine Durham College) was read by Bryan Ward-Perkins, Fellow and Tutor in History, and the choir sang an anthem.
Trinity’s new Fellows were also admitted and formally greeted by the Fellowship. The new Fellows are Jo Roadknight, Domestic Bursar, Chris Ferguson, Estates Bursar, Katherine Ibbett, Fellow and Tutor in French, Linford Briant, Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in Biomedical Sciences, Andrea Dolcetti, JRF in Law, Beatrice Groves, Research Fellow in English, and Mathew Stracy, JRF in Biochemistry.
