Stipendiary Lecturership in Physics - 2nd Year Quantum Mechanics

Part-Time, Fixed-Term at point 23-27 (depending on experience) of the HE single pay spine (currently £4,960 - £5,558 per annum, pro rata)

Applications are invited for a part-time, fixed-term Stipendiary Lectureship in Physics for Michaelmas Term 2024, and Hilary Term 2025.  The successful candidate will be required to teach 2 weighted hours per week, averaged across the two terms, for 2nd Year students of Physics (note the course does not start until 5th week of Michaelmas Term). Candidates should have an excellent educational background, with a good first degree, and either possess or be working towards a doctorate. They should have the ability to teach 2nd Year Quantum Mechanics (the A3 paper) to high-achieving undergraduates via College tutorials.

Stipendiary Lecturership in Pure Mathematics

Part-Time, Fixed-Term at point 23-27 (depending on experience) of the HE single pay spine (currently £7,441 - £8,337 per annum)

Applications are invited for a part-time, fixed-term Stipendiary Lectureship in Pure Mathematics, for one year from 1st of October 2024 to 30th September 2025. The successful candidate will be required to teach three weighted hours per week, averaged across the three terms, for students of Mathematics. Candidates should have an excellent educational background, with a good first degree, and either possess or be working towards a doctorate. They should have the ability to teach first- and second-year modules in Pure Mathematics as detailed in the further particulars to high-achieving undergraduates via College tutorials.

Digital Records Manager

Part Time (0.4 FTE)

Fixed term contract for 2 years

Salary: £14,000 (£35,000 FTE)

Since 2018 the administration of Trinity College has been paperless and the College is now seeking to appoint a records manager to develop a digital archives policy. Building on your existing experience of born-digital record management, this new role is an opportunity to set up, lead and develop the management and use of digital records within a stimulating and friendly academic environment.

The post-holder will be required to work 2 days per week (0.4 FTE). Working hours can be flexible but will need to include Thursdays. The working pattern for the rest of the week will be agreed with the successful applicant.

Bar and Café Assistant (part-time)

Working 30 hours per week at a part-time salary of £18,000

Reporting to the Bar and Café Manager, the Bar and Café Assistant will work as part of a team to ensure the effective management and coordination of the College Bar and Levine Building Café.

Working to the highest standards, the Bar and Café Assistant will ensure consistently excellent customer service, while maximising commercial income for the College. This commercial focus must also be carefully balanced with the key objectives of the College and the need to provide a supportive and nurturing environment for Trinity students.

The team work shifts based on an operational rota and so the ability to work evenings and weekends is essential.

Kitchen Porter

Salary £23,812 per annum

We are seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team, maintaining the pot wash area and keeping standards of hygiene and cleanliness of the kitchen and other related areas.

Benefits include meals on duty, uniform, generous holidays and pension.  40 hours per week which will be over a five-day week Monday to Sunday.

Dining Hall Supervisor

Salary: £31,928 per year

We are inviting applications for the position of Dining Hall Supervisor at Trinity College, Oxford.

The Dining Hall Supervisor will be responsible to the Head of Hospitality Services Manager, and will be expected deliver food and beverage services within the College, working in close operation with the other Hall Supervisors, the Full Time Catering Staff, a team of casual Staff, the Kitchen team and our Conference and Events team, to continue and maintain the levels of excellent service for our everyday business, student events, Formal Hall and Guest Night dinners, special College occasions, Conference bookings, Summer School programs and special events booked throughout the year and to maintain the reputation that Trinity holds within the University.

The Dining Hall Supervisor should be passionate and willing to lead staff in providing the highest standards of service to the wide variety of Students, Fellows, Guests and Staff, that pass through our wonderful College and to maintain our reputation for the best food and service in Oxford.

The person appointed will have experience of working at a Supervisory level and will oversee both student dining and the Senior Common Room dining services.
