Why Choose Trinity?

In Oxford University there are 30 different colleges which admit students for both undergraduate and graduate studies. Each college has rooms where students live, as well as clubs and societies to join, and facilities like a dining hall, bar and common room. Colleges provide much more than just accommodation however, as undergraduate students have some of their teaching in their college, and spend time studying in the college library. Here are some of the reasons why you might consider choosing Trinity:

• The College is right in the heart of Oxford. All the main departments are only a few minutes away, whilst the Science area is reached by a short walk through the back gate. The College is incredibly close to the commercial and social centre of the city and other colleges: the main shopping street is at the end of the road.

• Trinity College combines this central location with spacious and beautiful grounds.

• Trinity is a medium-size college, with an intake of about 85 undergraduates each year. This provides an informal, friendly environment in which hard work and academic achievement are strongly valued, alongside plenty of opportunity for social activities. Tutorial and pastoral care are given high priority.

• The facilities, from the well-equipped library to the very popular Beer Cellar (coffee shop and bar), are excellent, with a gym and squash court on site, and the rest of Oxford on your doorstep.

• The food has been consistently rated among the best in Oxford colleges. our self-service lunch, for example, offers an amazing range of dishes, including several vegetarian options every day.

• There is a very generous range of financial support available for undergraduates as well as graduates- see What Does It All Cost? for more details.

• Unlike many other colleges, where students have to live out in private accommodation for one or two years, Trinity normally guarantees college-owned accommodation for undergraduate students throughout the course of their studies. Some rooms are recently refurbished with en-suite facilities. For the first two years, undergraduates  are normally housed on the main Broad Street site, before moving into attractive college houses (with good self-catering facilties) in nearby north Oxford for their final year(s).

• Trinity has many excellent clubs and societies that all members of college are welcome to join. For more details, please see Social Life At Trinity.
