Information for Freshers 2009
If you'll be coming to Trinity in Michaelmas 2009, and you play an orchestral instrument, then the first piece of advice is: bring it! We hope very much that you'll play with your college orchestra, but rest assured that with the amount of music-making that happens in Oxford, you'll be missing out if you leave it behind.
The Trinity Orchestra is non-auditioning and relies on players from a variety of musical backgrounds and levels - though we recommend you to be of around Grade 7 standard or higher. We play a variety of music, and your conductor is always open to suggestions and ensuring that the music we play has appeal to the performers - just one part of the rationale behind our latest performance of music from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
Come 0th week, you'll find us at both the university Freshers' Fair, and also at Trinity's own miniature version of said event. So bring your instrument, and we look forward to seeing you!
