Ayaaz Nawab (ayaaz.nawab@trinity.ox.ac.uk)

Hi! Welcome one and all to the Trinity JCR! I have the pleasure of being President for the next year. I chair committee meetings that include all the wonderful people you see below and also chair general meetings of the JCR. But that’s not all…I represent the views of the JCR to College and University authorities and work with the team below to ensure University life is really enjoyable for you! You can find out more about what I do by taking a look at President’s Corner.

I’m here to work for and with you so please don’t hesitate to get in touch. Send me an e-mail, leave a note for me in the lodge or arrange to meet me. I want to ensure that your views are heard and acted on!

Here’s to a fantastic year ahead!

Treasurer - Jemima PeppelTreasurer
Jemima Peppel (jemima.peppel@trinity.ox.ac.uk)

Hellooo! For the next year, I'll be dealing with the JCR accounts, sponsorship and any other financial issues that come up, and help the Entz and Charities reps with managing their accounts. I'll also support Ayaaz, Bethan and all other JCR Committee members in their work as much as I can. I'm here doing this job for you and on your behalf, so if you have any complaints or queries, do get in touch with me. Whatever it is you'd like to ask me or talk to me about - or if you just want a cup of tea - feel free to come round to 15.6, or email or phone me any time.

Secretary - Bethan MackeySecretary

Hi! I’m your Secretary for the oncoming year, and I’m here to make sure that everything in the JCR runs smoothly! I’ll be writing up the minutes for the JCR General meetings and the Committee meetings, and I’m also the person to contact if you want to put a motion forward. I’m also in charge of the housing ballots, and organising college photos and dinners. As part of the executive I’ll also be doing my best to help Jemima, Ayaaz and the rest of the committee. If you want to get in touch at any time just pop me an email or arrange to meet me for a chat.

We will also be stocked up to the eyeballs with welfare supplies to distribute discretely and free of charge (see welfare page for details).

Alexander Krasodomski-Jones (alexander.krasodomski-jones@trinity.ox.ac.uk)

Hello kids,

We’re Hannah and Alex, entrusted by democratic principles to organising fun. We’re here to remind you that there is a world outside these stony walls and that this world often has two-for-one on bad cocktails before 11 PM.

We’ll keep you regularly updated on club nights, concerts and other goings on in Oxford, arrange discounted entry and organise our own nights. We’re lucky enough to have a wide base of support and would love to see it increased further, so if you have any ideas, whether a night you want help organising or simply a bop theme, do get in touch.

Ace.

External Affairs - Joseph CookeExternal Affairs - Jonathan MeldrumExternal Affairs
Joseph Cooke (joseph.cooke@trinity.ox.ac.uk)
Jonathan Meldrum (jonathan.meldrum@trinity.ox.ac.uk)

Hi! I’m a second year lawyer and the new External affairs rep for Michaelmas Term and Hilary Term. Jonny Meldrum will be taking over in Trinity Term, and he is a second year medic. External Affairs Rep is a new position created last term. It is our job to liaise with organisations outside of the JCR, including local businesses, Oxford’s wider community and other colleges. On top of this we will be acting as your OUSU reps. In Hilary term we will be working with the rest of the committee to review the disaffiliation situation with OUSU and secure better sponsorship for the JCR.

If you have any questions, comments or ideas feel free to contact us!

Access & Bursaries Rep - Timothy GoundryAccess & Bursaries Rep
Timothy Goundry (timothy.goundry@trinity.ox.ac.uk)

Hi, I'm Tim, the JCR's Access and Bursaries rep. I work with college and the JCR in the organisation and running of access events (school tours, residentials, interviews etc). We're trying to show that Trinity is a college with high academic standards that is looking for able students regardless of background.

I am also there to help with any questions regarding bursaries and grants, making members of the JCR (and prospective students) aware of the generous amounts of money that they are entitled to.

If you have any questions about bursaries, or would like to get involved with Trinity access, then please drop me a line.

Academic Affairs - Stephanie LearAcademic Affairs
Stephanie Lear (stephanie.lear@trinity.ox.ac.uk)

Hello! I'm Stephanie, a second year Historian and your Academic Affairs Rep Hilary 2010-Michaelmas 2010. My role involves circulating material regarding Adademic Affairs, attending meetings with OUSU on this matter and, should the need arise, representing any JCR member in academic disciplinary proceedings. I am also available to offer advice or just be there for a chat and can normally be found in 16/5 where I am in possession of a kettle! I would also direct you to the Academic Affairs webpage for any more information.

Diversity - Hari ShanmugaratnamDiversity
Hari Shanmugaratnam (hari.shanmugaratnam@trinity.ox.ac.uk)

Hi, I'm Hari, a second year medic and I am the new Trinity college diversity rep. I look after the minority interests in college such as Disabilities, International students and LGBT. As part of my duties I am the chairman of the Trinity JCR Diversity Committee and I also work with OUSU so that Trinitarians know what is occuring in the wider university. Feel free to email me or come and see me in 12/2.

"The Junior Officers" of the JCR are appointed to fulfill various specialised roles in College. They do not have the same rights as elected committee members, but they ensure that whatever a student's problem, there is someone to try and answer it for them.
